Lazy cabbage rolls are a great way to diversify your daily menu. They are prepared much easier than classic cabbage rolls, and the taste is the same fragrant and tasty. They are perfect for lunch or dinner with the whole family. And you do not need to cook additionally a side dish, fresh vegetables will be enough.
According to this recipe, lazy cabbage rolls are cooked in a pan from the most affordable products. I like to take minced pork, but you can use the one that you like more.

Ingredients:
- minced pork - 500 g
- white cabbage - 200 g
- round rice - 80 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- onion - 1 pc.
- carrots - 1 pc.
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper - to taste
Sauce:
- sour cream 20% - 200 ml
- tomato paste - 1 tbsp l.
- water - 100 ml
- salt - 1/2 tsp l.
Step by step recipe
1. Finely chop 200 g of white cabbage with a knife. Put the chopped cabbage into a bowl. Pour boiling water over it and leave for about 10 minutes. White cabbage can be replaced with Peking cabbage, then you do not need to pour boiling water over it.
2. Pour 80 g of already washed round rice into a saucepan, salt about 1/2 tsp. l. salt and pour 1 tbsp. hot water. We put on fire. As soon as the water boils, cover the saucepan with a lid and remove from heat. Leave the rice for 10 minutes.
3. While the rice and cabbage are infused, prepare the vegetables.
Cut one onion into cubes.
Three carrots on a fine grater.
4. Put chopped onions in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil. Pass the onion until golden. Add grated carrots to the onion. Pass for another 1-2 minutes and remove from heat.
5. The water in the cabbage has cooled down a little. Squeeze the cabbage with your hands and transfer to a separate bowl.
6. We also put 500 g of minced meat here. I use pork, but you can take any other. Add rice. If there is liquid in the rice, drain it.
Salt everything for about 1 tsp. l. salt and pepper with black pepper.
We break 1 egg. Add browned vegetables to this. Mix everything until smooth.
7. From the cooked minced meat with vegetables, we form large enough balls. One ball is about 1 tbsp. l. minced meat.
Put all the prepared meat balls in a cold frying pan. I took a deep frying pan with a diameter of 26 cm.
8. Cooking the sauce.
Pour 200 g of sour cream of any fat content into a bowl. I used 20% sour cream. We put 1 tbsp. tomato paste. Salt for about 1/2 tsp. l. salt and pour half a glass of water. We mix everything.
9. Pour the prepared sauce into the pan to the lazy cabbage rolls.
We put everything on fire and cover with a lid. When the liquid in the pan boils, reduce the heat to low and simmer the dish over low heat for about 35-40 minutes.
10. We remove the ready-made lazy cabbage rolls from the heat and serve hot. Top the cabbage rolls with sauce and sprinkle with chopped herbs, I sprinkled with parsley.
