It is found in almost every kitchen. It is added to baked goods and desserts, used as peeling and beauty masks. And we know almost nothing about her.
Well, that is, we know, of course, but only crumbs.
Let's do a little research and a useful educational program on the not simple spice of cinnamon.
Slaves and... cinnamon?
That's right, you read it right.
Almost all the spicy goods that are on the shelves of any kitchen cabinet were brought to Europe by the colonialists. They also delivered the cinnamon to us. And there were the Dutch in the Dutch East India Company.
For about two centuries, Holland not only imported spices to Europe, but tried with all its might in the territories of the colonies it was developing... take the local residents into slavery.
In order to maintain a monopoly on the production of this valuable spice, the colonialists tried to gain a foothold in the market and carried out not only the transportation of the cinnamon itself to Europe, but also the slave trade. And those who were against them were seriously punished.
So in the Middle Ages, the entire population of clove trees was completely cut down, with the exception of the territory controlled by Holland. This was done to prevent anyone even a centimeter from entering the cinnamon Dutch monopoly.
The Dutch also paid super-dividends to the owners of their colonies for centuries, spreading Christianity throughout Asia and the Far East.
Mood, love and... cinnamon
Provocative? But, yes! Cinnamon is a powerful aphrodisiac. That is, it has the properties to attract the opposite sex. It is often used as a female aphrodisiac, so that it helps a man to conquer a woman's heart.
The aroma of cinnamon acts on a woman not only exciting, but at the same time evokes a feeling of trust, confidence and comfort. As if in a fairy tale!
Among other things, cinnamon is great for improving the mood of any person. The essential oils in it are an attractive aroma that soothes, encourages a person to be creative, gives confidence, develops a positive outlook on life, fills with a thirst to live brightly and smooths out any disappointment.
The addition of cinnamon to coffee or morning yogurt invigorates well, gives strength, and also enhances intestinal immunity, which is very important in the autumn-winter period.
Here she is so amazing and not simple, the spice is cinnamon.
