Chicken drumsticks with very crispy breading, almost like in KFC

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken drumsticks
vegetable oil for frying
2 eggs
2 tbsp. l. flour
100 g corn flakes
semolina (about 1 tsp. l.)
salt
pepper
seasoning (chicken spice mixture)

How to cook:

1. Thaw the drumsticks if frozen. It is advisable to wash, although many do not advise doing this.

2. Dry each drumstick with paper towels.

3. Season the chicken with salt, pepper and spices. Stir and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

4. For batter, beat eggs with a pinch of salt. Add flour, semolina and seasonings to taste. Prepare liquid batter.

5. Remove the pickled drumsticks from the refrigerator and pour the resulting batter over them. If possible, the legs should be held in this batter for 10-20 minutes so that it evenly soaks and envelops the meat. And only then start cooking.

6. Grind the sugar-free cornflakes in any convenient way. Either knead with a rolling pin, wooden pestle, or use a coffee grinder or blender.

We don't need flour, we should get crumbs of different sizes. But if you want to grind it into flour, then you can do that. Be sure to mix the resulting corn crumbs with a little flour per eye. It is tastier to use cornmeal or rice flour, but wheat flour works as well. Just a couple of pinches.

7. Heat a lot of vegetable oil in a saucepan or saucepan with a thick bottom. It is advisable to use a deep fryer for this, of course, since we cook fries.

8. Breaded chicken drumsticks in cornflakes on all sides.

9. Fry the breaded legs for about 10-15 minutes over low heat, but with a noticeable boil of oil. Be sure to turn it over with a slotted spoon so that it is fried from all sides.

Place drumsticks on a wire rack or napkins before serving to remove excess oil.

Ready! These legs are very similar to those from KFC. Try it yourself!
