Gelatin-based chocolate dessert without baking. A great alternative to cakes or pastries for the holidays.

I cook this dessert more and more often, not only because it is incredibly tasty, but also because it is very easy and quick to prepare. It takes only 10 minutes, gelatin will do the rest. There is no need to "conjure" over the cake or anything else. All ingredients are affordable and not expensive enough.

In order for everything to happen faster, I measure in advance all the necessary ingredients on the scales: namely cocoa, starch, sugar, milk and cream. I cut a bar of chocolate with a knife into small cubes in advance.

All dry ingredients are first mixed in a saucepan. Then I add cream, mix everything well, trying to make sure that there are no lumps.

Then I send all the milk to the stewpan and mix again, put on medium heat. The chocolate mass needs to be constantly stirred when it thickens and almost boils, it's time to add chopped chocolate.

It is necessary to mix everything well again and warm up the mass for about a minute.

You should get a thick appetizing chocolate and very aromatic mass. If you plan to serve dessert in portions, for example, in glasses, then you don't need to add anything. It is enough just to cool the mixture and pour it into glasses.

You can also diversify this dessert a little, for example, add grated orange zest to the chocolate mass, add fresh berries or fruit (bananas), cookies or waffle crumbs.

I add a little warmed up gelatin, mix well and pour into a glass mold, which I cover with baking paper on all sides. I cover with cling film until contact, so that the mass does not "wind up" and send it to a cool place, for example, to the balcony, and then to the refrigerator.

After 4-5 hours, the dessert can already be served. To do this, you need to carefully move it onto a dish and sprinkle with cocoa powder on top.

You can decorate it to your taste, I just supplement the dessert with a few sprigs of fresh mint.

Ingredients:

  • Milk 450 ml
  • Cream 150 ml
  • Chocolate 90 grams
  • Sugar 70 grams (+10 grams vanilla)
  • Cocoa 25 grams
  • Starch 30 grams
  • Gelatin 10 grams + 50 ml of cold water
