Sometimes everyone loves to crunch with delicious and aromatic crackers. Children especially often ask for such harmful purchased snacks. But the most harmless and tasty croutons can be prepared at home.
I want to share with you a very simple way of making croutons with different tastes. Let's prepare three types of homemade crackers: with garlic, spicy mustard and aromatic herbs and paprika. Choose whichever you like best, or cook all three.
Such croutons can not only be safely offered to children, but also served with soup, added to salad and crunch them under a glass of foam.
These homemade croutons are prepared simply and quickly. Both white and rye bread are suitable for their preparation. You can also use slightly stale bread. The main thing is that it should be free of mold and foreign odors.
Prepare such delicious homemade croutons and you will no longer buy snacks in the store!
1. RYE DRIED WITH GARLIC
Ingredients:
- rye bread - 1/2 pc.
- vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
- salt - 1 tsp l. (with a small drop)
- garlic - 3-4 cloves
Step by step recipe
1. Cut the bread into cubes or cubes. If you are going to cut into cubes, then stick to the 1 cm size. We also cut the blocks into a width of 1 cm, and the length is arbitrary.
2. Put the sliced bread on a baking sheet and put in the oven, preheated to 160 degrees. Let the croutons dry a little for 5 minutes.
3. While the bread is drying in the oven, make the garlic dressing.
Pour 3 tbsp into a bowl. l. vegetable oil, squeeze the garlic here through a press and add 1 tsp. l. salt with a small slice. Mix everything well.
4. Take a large saucepan with a lid and pour the prepared dressing into it. Distribute the dressing over the entire bottom of the pan.
Pour the dried pieces of bread here and cover the pan with a lid.
5. Now the croutons need to be shaken well in a saucepan so that they mix with the prepared dressing.
Pour the garlic-flavored croutons back onto the baking sheet.
6. Again, put the crackers in an oven preheated to 160 degrees. We dry them for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally so that they do not burn out.
These are the mouth-watering ready-made rye croutons with garlic flavor.
2. WHEAT DRIED WITH MUSTARD
Ingredients:
- white bread (loaf) - 1/2 pc.
- vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
- Russian mustard - 3 tsp l.
- water - 1 tbsp. l.
- salt - 1 tsp l. (with a small drop)
Step by step recipe
1. The second version of croutons will be with mustard.
Cut the loaf or white bread into cubes.
We send the sliced bread cubes to the oven to dry for 5 minutes.
2. Preparing the dressing.
We mix 3 tbsp. l. sunflower oil, 3 tsp l. mustard, 1 tsp l. salt and 1 tbsp. l. water. Mix everything well.
3. We take a plastic bag, pour the dressing into it and distribute it along the bottom of the bag.
We also put the dried croutons here in the bag.
4. Tie the bag tightly and fry until the croutons are mixed with the dressing.
Put the flavored croutons back on the baking sheet.
5. Dry the croutons in an oven preheated to 160 degrees for another 20 minutes.
Do not forget to periodically stir the croutons.
These are such beautiful crackers with mustard flavor.
3. WHEAT DRIED WITH PAPRICA
Ingredients:
- white bread (loaf) - 1/2 pc.
- vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
- ground sweet paprika - 1 tsp l.
- hops suneli (seasoning) - 1 tsp l.
- salt - 1 tsp l. (with a small drop)
Step by step recipe
1. Third, we make aromatic and spicy croutons with paprika and suneli hops.
Cut the loaf into cubes and put it in the oven to dry for 5 minutes.
2. Preparing the dressing. Mix sunflower oil, salt, paprika and suneli hop seasoning. Mix everything well.
3. Pour the prepared dressing into a large saucepan and distribute it along the bottom.
Pour the dried bread cubes here.
4. Cover the saucepan with a lid and pan so that the croutons are mixed with the dressing.
5. Put the flavored croutons back on the baking sheet.
Dry them in the oven for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
These are the ruddy and fragrant croutons with paprika and suneli hops.
