It is not difficult to prepare such pies stuffed with cabbage and sausages. The dough is very pliable and easy to work with. You can vary the amount of cabbage in the filling to your liking. But, I assure you, it turns out amazingly delicious with stewed cabbage!

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • water - 180 ml
  • milk - 120 ml
  • sugar - 1 tsp l.
  • salt - 1 tsp l.
  • pressed yeast - 20 g (or dry - 8 g)
  • butter - 30 g
  • flour - 500-600 g

Filling:

  • stewed cabbage - 500 g
  • sausages - 500 g
  • egg - 1 pc. (for top lubrication)

Step by step recipe

1. First, let's prepare a dough for the dough. Pour 120 ml of warm milk into a bowl, pour 1 tsp to it. l. salt and 1 tsp. l. Sahara. Here we crumble 20 g of pressed or 7 g of dry yeast. Mix the dough until smooth and put in a warm place for half an hour.

2. After half an hour, pour 180 ml of warm water into the dough. To this we add about 500 - 600 g of flour in small portions, constantly kneading the dough. The amount of flour may be needed less or more, depending on its type.

3. After the dough has gathered in a lump, knead it for another 2-3 minutes.

4. To this add 30 g of soft butter warmed to room temperature.
Knead the dough with butter for another 3-4 minutes.
The dough should be smooth and smooth.

5. Put the finished dough into a ball, put it in a bowl, cover with cling film and put in a warm place so that it fits. The dough should increase in volume by one and a half to two times.

6. The dough has come up, now we are sculpting the pies. Tear off a piece of dough and roll it out on a table sprinkled with flour. It is most convenient to roll out the dough in a rectangle, approximately 20 by 30 centimeters in size. The dough thickness of the rolled dough should be approximately 5 mm.
We cut such a rectangle into 4 parts.

7. We spread about half a tablespoon of cabbage on each of the parts. In total, you will need about 0.5 kg of stewed cabbage. We put the filling not strictly in the center, but shift it to one edge, so that the filling does not interfere with folding the pie.
Cut the sausage into 2 or 3 pieces and place on top of the cabbage. Sausages will also need about 0.5 kg.
Wrap the filled dough in a roll.

8. Put the pies on a baking sheet and let them prove for about 30 minutes.

9. Beat 1 egg in a separate bowl.
Grease the matching pies on top with a beaten egg.

10. Put the pies in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for about 30 minutes.

The pies are very soft, tasty and with a beautiful golden crust on top.
