I always buy good canned fish in the store. I can literally in 1 minute determine whether a product is of high quality or not. And by the way, the price is not an indicator here. I tell you which way I have.
1. I look at the place of production
This is the very first thing I do. If canned food is made somewhere in the suburbs, for example, then I immediately put the can back on the shelf, because the canned food is made from frozen fish, which means it will not be so tasty. I look to be produced somewhere on the coast of the sea.
2. Shaking the jar
If it gurgles a lot, then there is not enough fish in the jar, there is only sauce or broth. Take a few jars for comparison and shake them - by the sound you can easily understand where there are more fish.
3. Watching the composition
Everything is simple here: the fewer ingredients, the better. If I see a bunch of preservatives and all sorts of "E-shki", then I do not take it, there is nothing good in such canned fish.
4. I look at the markings
It should be embossed (like embossing) and not printed with ink over the can. I think it's clear here: the paint can be erased and new data printed. And with embossing it will not work out that way.
This is my way. I am not guided by the price and the big name of the manufacturer.
Thanks to my advice, you will be able to inspect the jar in 1 minute and immediately understand whether it is high-quality canned fish or not. My method has never let me down. The fish is always tasty, the pieces are even and there are a lot of them.
