Devil's Salad: Fire Assured

-You just try it carefully, otherwise you will burn your whole mouth, - they warned me once at a party and treated me to this salad.

I didn’t burn my mouth (I generally love spicy, although now I cannot include it in my diet), but I stole the salad recipe. It is nourishing, spicy with a slight sweetness, so to speak, pleasantly spicy, and also very uncomplicated.

True, this is not the season for him now - after all, in winter he is more attracted to hot things, however, if you are not cold, then why not indulge in a "devil's salad"?

We take:

  • 500 grams of boiled beef
  • 3 sweet bell peppers
  • 4-6 pickled cucumbers (depending on size - 4 large or six medium,
  • Small pickled onions (the quantity is not regulated here, the main thing is that they clog all the other ingredients, so for me, 10-15 pieces will definitely be enough, but you can really taste it)
  • 1 large onion (not pickled, that is, fresh)

For refueling:

  • 5 tbsp. spoons of ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon hot mustard
  • 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 5-10 drops of Worcestershire sauce (here to your taste, someone likes it more, someone less, but without it the taste will be completely different, and not for the better, after all, Worcestershire works here as a kind of unifier)
  • A little cucumber pickle (if the dressing is very thick)
  • Salt and hot red pepper to taste
  • A little sugar - also to taste to remove excess acid and add sweetness

How we cook:

We mix all the ingredients of the dressing in a jar, set aside to infuse.

We cut the beef - into strips or cubes, the bell pepper - into pieces corresponding to the shape of the beef.

Cut fresh onions into small cubes, and pickled ones - we can cut them into quarters, or we can throw them in whole - if they are very small. We cut the cucumbers either into strips or into cubes - in general, also for beef, so that the cutting of all the ingredients matches each other.

We mix everything, fill it with dressing. We try for salt-sugar and the amount of pepper, leave it to stand in the refrigerator for two to three hours.

You can serve it separately - with black bread, and with potatoes, for example, or even rice (here as your imagination tells you). The main thing is not to forget the pepper! Without pepper, the devil's salad is not a salad. He must cause a fire!
