Fish nests are a great option for a simple fish dish for the whole family. They look very unusual and are tasty and aromatic. Crispy bread crust, aromatic minced fish filling and melted cheese on top... Such a dish will not leave you indifferent!
Fish nests are prepared very simply and from the most affordable products. You can use completely different types of fish for them - it always turns out delicious and satisfying!
This fish dish is great for the daily menu. But also on the festive table, it will look appropriate.
Prepare these fish nests for your family, it's amazingly simple and delicious!
Ingredients:
- French baguette - 1 pc.
- milk - 500 ml
- hake fillet - 300 g
- cheese - 100 g
- onions - 2 pcs.
- salt - 1/3 tbsp. l.
- ground black pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe
1. Cut one French baguette into slices about 3 cm thick.
Place the pieces of baguette in a bowl. We fill everything with milk. In total, you will need about 0.5 liters of milk.
2. Soak the baguette in milk for about 2 minutes. Stir gently so that the upper pieces are also soaked in milk. Remove the prepared pieces from the milk.
3. Cooking the filling.
Cut 2 onions into random pieces.
Cut 300 g hake fillets into pieces. Instead of hake, you can use pollock, cod, pike perch, tilapia.
4. Put fish pieces and prepared onion into the chopper bowl. We grind everything. I grinded in two approaches. Also, fish and onions can not be chopped, but cut into small cubes.
5. Put the chopped mass in a bowl. Salt everything about 1/3 tbsp. l. salt. And pepper with black pepper. We mix.
6. Grease a baking sheet with butter. We spread the prepared pieces of baguette on it. In each piece we make a depression, pressing the middle with a spoon.
7. Fill each piece of baguette with cooked minced fish. We tamp it a little with a spoon.
8. We put everything in the oven preheated to 180 degrees. We bake for about 30 minutes.
9. Three 100 g of cheese on a grater.
We take out the fish nests and sprinkle them with grated cheese on top.
10. Put the bake on again for 10 minutes.
The dish is ready. We serve it hot.
The fish nests are delicious and aromatic. Delicate fish under a cheese crust, nourishing soft crumb and crispy bread crust will not leave anyone indifferent. The dish is prepared simply and always turns out. It is perfect even for a festive table.
