#newyear I offer a very light snack for the New Year's festive table. It can be cooked on croutons, sometimes I make it on puff pastry, for spreading, you can use processed cheese or ready-to-spread snacks bought at the supermarket. Very quick to prepare for a change when guests are on the doorstep.
Ingredients: Baton, Snack with smoked salmon (spread), Fresh cucumber, Boiled quail eggs, Sweet red bell pepper (long), olives, Parsley leaves, Cooking oil
Cooking method:
Cut the loaf into a thickness of no more than 1 cm, squeeze out circles the size of a cucumber with a glass, fry on one side in vegetable oil until a light golden brown crust forms (do not dry). Cool down.
Spread with smoked salmon spread (you can take any of your choice) to spread the unfried side of the loaf. Put a cucumber ring on top, put a small sprig of parsley on one side.
Cut red peppers (sweet, long) into rings and put on top of the cucumber. Boil the quail eggs, cut in half and put half on top of the pepper (cut down).
Put the olive oil on top of the egg and secure the appetizer with a skewer (if not, you can use a toothpick). Place on a plate. Can be garnished with lettuce leaves.
Enjoy your holiday and bon appetit!
