But I have never come across a recipe for such a cake, thanks to a friend who this fall, after arriving from Italy, shared her find with me.

The puff pastry is used for the pie, so it remains only to prepare the filling, it will take a few minutes.
We send the chopped green onions to a preheated pan and fry in vegetable oil for about a minute.
In the meantime, the onions are fried, prepare the mixture for the omelet. Yes, the filling for the pie is an ordinary omelet, but how delicious it turns out!
You need to mix 4-5 eggs with milk, salt and pepper. We send this mixture to the pan with the onions and stir regularly, the main thing is not to overcook it. It is necessary that the omelet grabbed and held its shape. Let it cool down a little.
In the meantime, roll out the dough into a rectangle and make cuts along the edges as shown in the photo below:

Before you send the cake to the oven, you can grease it with an egg, or like me with kefir. It is baked in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.
In addition to onions, it is also fashionable to add ham, cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and more to an omelette. In general, everything that you usually put in an omelet.
Serve this cake slightly cooled down, in my opinion this is an ideal Sunday breakfast.
