Chambelline or honey bagels

Ingredients: Egg, Yolk, Sugar, Vegetable oil, Liquid honey, Salt, Zest of 1 orange and 1 lemon, Baking powder, Flour, Decor: Liquid honey, sugar sprinkles / nuts / coconut flakes to taste

Cooking method:

In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients except flour and baking powder.

Add sifted flour and baking powder. Quickly knead the dough with your hands. The texture should be uniform, soft and pliable. It will stick a little to the bottom of the bowl, but you don't need to add flour.

Sprinkle the work surface with a drop of vegetable oil. Lay out the dough in the shape of a sausage, about 45 cm long. Divide the dough into 20 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a sausage 12 cm long. Connect 2 sausages and twist the tourniquet. Connect the ends and fasten well. Place on a baking sheet lined with non-stick parchment paper or silicone mat. Sprinkle with a little sugar if desired.

Bake at 180* for 15 minutes until lightly browned. P. WITH. bakes very fast! Do not leave unattended so as not to burn.

Cool the finished bagels. Lubricate with honey or dip from the top side in honey syrup (50 ml. honey + 1 tablespoon water) Immediately sprinkle with the desired decor.
