Serve with rice or noodles. Prepares simply and quickly. Any non-bony fish or fillet will do. I have a large flounder. #breakfast
Ingredients: Fish, Quince or sour apple, Onion, Bulgarian pepper, Vegetable oil, Salt, Soy sauce, lime or lemon juice, water, spicy fruit sauce, starch, paprika, chopped herbs (dill or cilantro)
Cooking method:
Cut the fish, coarsely chop, lightly salt.
Quince or apple cut into slices with skin. Onion and pepper cut into strips.
Prepare the filling by mixing sauces, lime juice, starch, paprika and herbs in water. I have a Vietnamese spicy-sweet mango sauce. You can use sweet chili sauce. Adjust spiciness with black and hot red peppers, and sweetness with sugar.
In a heated frying pan with oil, fry the quince, onion and pepper a little. Three minutes.
Then spread the pieces of fish on the vegetables, cover with a lid. Reduce fire. Hold the fish for 5 minutes.
Mix the filling and pour it over the fish. Spread the vegetables and fish evenly in the pan so that everything is covered with the sauce. Cover with a lid and cook for another 8-10 minutes.
The sauce has thickened, the fish has cooked, the vegetables are a little crunchy. You can serve the dish. BON APPETIT.
