Gedlibzhe, or Kabardino-Circassian chicken in the most delicate sour cream sauce. Very simple, but very tasty.
Ingredients: chicken, sour cream 20%, onion, garlic, water, wheat flour, butter, ground paprika, coriander, dried basil, Salt, pepper, cilantro for serving
Cooking method:
Cut the chicken, or use your favorite parts right away. I have shins, thighs and wings.
In a hot frying pan (you can use a grill), fry the chicken for 2 minutes on each side and set aside.
Add butter to a saucepan and fry the onion, previously cut into quarter rings, until golden brown. Add chopped garlic.
Mix sour cream with water, add flour, salt, pepper, paprika, coriander, basil, a pinch of sugar. Work with a whisk so that there are no lumps. Add to saucepan with onions. Put the chicken in there. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low.
Simmer 40 minutes. When ready, add chopped cilantro or parsley. It's an incredible combination. Very tasty with pasta or like mine with mashed potatoes.
