#dessert Linzer cookies... This is a traditional Austrian delicacy, very popular during the Christmas holidays. But it is too tasty and a real temptation for the sweet tooth to be prepared just before Christmas. So I decided to bake it on Dessert Day, why not!?😊

Linzer macaroons (with orange jam)

Ingredients: Butter, Sugar, Salt, Wheat Flour, Vanillin, Egg, Almond, Baking Powder, Jam for filling (any, tastier with orange), Powdered sugar for dusting

Cooking method:

Mix soft butter with sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add egg, salt and beat with a whisk until smooth.

Chop the almonds, add to the egg mass. Gradually add flour with baking powder.

Knead a non-sticky dough, first with a spatula, then with your hands. Wrap in a bag and refrigerate for an hour.

Roll out the dough (0.3-0.4 mm thick), directly on the mat or paper on which you will bake cookies. Cut out to give the desired shape.

Bake 10-12 min. Top halves, with holes, immediately sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Grease the bottom halves of the cookies with jam, for example, orange.

Connect the top and bottom halves of the cookies.

Our cookies are ready! Can you put a kettle on?
