Ingredients: egg, butter, sugar, sour cream, soda, flour, salt, For filling: jam, For sprinkling: powdered sugar
Cooking method:
Sift flour through a sieve and add soda and salt, mix.
In a deep mixing bowl, combine softened butter and sugar. Beat for 2-3 minutes, then add the egg and sour cream, mix everything well. Gradually adding flour, knead shortbread dough. The easiest way to do this is with a wooden spatula.
The finished dough is very soft, tender and plastic and does not stick to your hands.
Divide the finished shortbread dough into 2-3 parts and roll each into a circle.
Cut the dough into segments.
Put a little jam on the wide part. It should be very thick so that it does not flow out of the cookies during baking.
Stretch the wide part of the dough a little wide and cover the jam, lightly press on the sides. Then twist into a "roll" towards the narrow part.
Lay the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bend them a little, giving the shape of bagels. Put the baking sheet with the bagels in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
Ready-made bagels are a beautiful golden color.
Before serving, the bagels should be cooled and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
