I love to please my children with delicious, sweet pastries. And it’s especially nice for kids when these pastries also look interesting, and not just interesting, but beautiful! Well, who will refuse small "cupcakes" with a variety of fillings. #baking #games
Ingredients: Wheat flour, Sugar, Yeast, Chicken egg, Butter, Sour cream, Salt, Lemon peel, Ginger (fresh), Milk
Cooking method:
Sift the flour, this will enrich it with oxygen, and future baking will turn out to be especially fluffy. Flour may need a little more / less, it depends on the quality of the flour used.
All dough ingredients should be at least at room temperature. I use dry yeast, they do not need preliminary proofing, I add them immediately to warm milk. Then add butter, sour cream, sugar, a pinch of salt, an egg and a little flour. Mix. For a more interesting taste of the finished product, I add a little lemon peel and fresh ginger (grated on the smallest grater) to the dough.
We begin to add flour, kneading a very soft, elastic dough. You don’t need to pour all the flour at once, maybe you don’t need all of it, it’s better to add a little after the first proofing. Wrap the bowl with the dough in cling film (or cover with a towel) and leave in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
The dough should double in size. If after 40 minutes the dough has not increased, take your time, let it stand still, if the yeast is normal, then it will rise anyway.
If necessary, add a little flour and roll out the dough into a not very thin layer. With a glass (I have a diameter of 7.5 cm), cut out circles. Roll each into an envelope (in half, and then in half again). Pour into muffin cupcake tins three at a time. You will get just sweet, sweet buns. And you can wrap the filling in each base circle, for example, a piece of chocolate. Or cottage cheese, jam, marmalade - this is at your discretion.
Leave for a second proofing for about 30 minutes. When the dough has come up, you can grease with an egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 175-180 degrees. until golden brown (this is about 12-15 minutes) be guided by your oven!
Decorating ready-made buns is a field of action for your imagination. You can grease the tops with icing, or just melted chocolate, or cover with your favorite cream and put a cherry or just sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bon Appetit!
