Ingredients (for 3 cups of 200 ml):
- hot water - 300 ml
- cherry jelly - 1 pack (90 g)
- yogurt - 400 ml
- sugar - 100 g
- water - 60 ml
- gelatin - 17 g
- vanilla sugar - 5 g
Step by step recipe
1. First, let's prepare the colored jelly.
Pour one pack of cherry jelly into a bowl and pour 300 ml of hot water. Mix everything until the gelatin is completely dissolved. I have a pack of jelly weighing 90 g and designed for 400 ml of water, but I deliberately reduced the amount of water so that the jelly was more dense.
2. Pour the prepared jelly solution into a large flat container. The thickness of the jelly should be about 1 cm. The size of my form is 24 by 30 cm.
We put everything in the refrigerator to harden.
3. When the jelly has frozen, we begin to prepare the second part of the dessert.
Pour 17 g of gelatin into a bowl and pour 60 ml of water at room temperature. Mix everything and leave gelatin to swell for 5-10 minutes.
4. Pour 400 ml of drinking yogurt without additives into a separate bowl, pour 100 g of sugar and add vanilla extract or 5 g of vanilla sugar. Mix everything until the sugar is completely dissolved.
5. The gelatin is already swollen. We heat it in the microwave with pulses of 10 seconds, about 3 times. Stir after each heating.
6. Pour the melted gelatin into the prepared yogurt with sugar, while constantly stirring. Before preparing dessert, yogurt must be taken out of the refrigerator so that it warms to room temperature.
7. We take out the frozen cherry jelly from the refrigerator. Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter. Carefully remove the cut out hearts with a spatula or a thin knife.
8. We take glasses for dessert and glue jelly hearts on the inside. I stick two hearts on opposite sides, but you can stick more if you wish.
Pour prepared yogurt jelly into glasses with glued hearts.
9. On top, on the jelly, we also carefully place a heart of cherry jelly. We put everything in the refrigerator to harden.
Dessert with hearts turned out very tasty and beautiful. It's easy to make and the ingredients are affordable. Instead of yogurt, you can use kefir or sour cream.
