Surely many of you are already familiar with this recipe for stewed fish with vegetables. But it is so simple and delicious that literally every housewife should know it. Hake stewed with vegetables is perfect for lunch or dinner with the whole family. It will turn out juicy, tender and fragrant. Such a fish remains tasty in any form - warm and cold.
Preparing such a stewed hake with vegetables is very simple and will not take you much time. Instead of a hake, you can also take a low-fat fish, such as pollock or cod, for a friend. Also, such a dish can be prepared on non-strict days of fasting, just add water instead of cream.

Be sure to try this simple fish dish for your family. It is very tasty, satisfying and quite inexpensive.

Ingredients:

  • fish (hake, pollock, cod) - 1 kg
  • cream 10% - 300 ml
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste
  • vegetable oil - for frying

Step by step recipe

1. Let's prepare the fish first.


We clean one kilogram of hake from scales, remove the insides and cut into portions. Hake can be replaced with other fish, such as pollock or cod.

2. Cut one onion into quarter rings.
Three large carrots on a coarse grater.

3. Pour a little vegetable oil into a preheated pan and put the chopped onion. Saute the onion until golden. When the onion is golden, add grated carrots to it. We pass everything until the carrots are soft.

4. We put the prepared pieces of fish in the pan, put the vegetable sauté on top. Salt and pepper everything to taste.
Here we pour 300 ml of cream with a fat content of 10%. Cream can be replaced with mayonnaise, sour cream, or you can simply pour water.

5. Place the pot on the stove and cover with a lid. Simmer the fish over low heat for about 30 minutes. At first it may seem that there is little liquid, but over time the fish will release juice.

Hake with vegetables turned out very tasty and fragrant. The finished dish can be served on the table, both warm and cold, in any case it will be delicious.
