A few days ago here are baked bagels. You would know what scent was all over the apartment! Incredibly soft, airy, very tasty! For several years, I cook bagels just for this recipe, so be sure to save it yourself!
Ingredients:
kefir - 200 ml
eggs - 2 pieces in the batter and 2 egg yolks to lubricate the top
flour - 600 g (approximately)
Milk - 60 ml
sugar - 3 tablespoons
yeast - 25 gr
salt - half teaspoon
Butter - 70 gr
poppy / sesame seeds for sprinkling
We prepare the dough for our bagels. Milk (approximately 50 ml, not all) warms slightly, add yeast and leave for 10-15 minutes.
Next add yogurt, salt, sugar, melted butter, to drive the 2 eggs and stir until uniform.
Now gradually introduce the flour. I pointed to 600g in the recipe, but in fact may need a little more or less, so guided by the consistency of the dough - it should have a soft, elastic and does not stick to hands.
Cover with a cloth and leave the dough in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours. The dough should be good to go. Unroll it into the reservoir, but not too thin, about 7-8 mm.
Next, make bagels. The dough is cut into triangles and wrap rolls. Get a bagel. Ready bagels lay on a baking sheet (greased or lay a baking paper) and leave for another 30 minutes, so they proofed.
Further, beat 2 egg yolks with the remaining milk and the resulting mixture lubricates bagels. You can bake well, or you can sprinkle with poppy seeds or sesame seeds. Bagels bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Bon appetit, my dear friends!
