This is the simplest recipe, the dough is kneaded on the water and flour (dumplings dough), to prepare the filling using ground beef, potatoes, onions and herbs. And this is only one option of filling - more can be made of stewed cabbage, eggs and greens, just potatoes with onions ...

To prepare the dough take:

Not quite a full faceted glass of water (150-170 ml)
Three tablespoons of vegetable oil
Sex teaspoon salt
And about 400 g flour
For filling:
350 g minced
3 medium potatoes
2 small onions
50 grams butter
Greens - in my case, it is dried dill, but can take any fresh herbs
Salt, black pepper, spices
And still need one egg yolk for greasing cake

First of all knead dough. I sift the flour into a bowl, add salt, stir in the middle of making a recess, pour vegetable oil, water and knead a soft dough.

But this is what I'm doing ... Maybe you have a different process of cooking - some salt dissolves in water, some flour adds a last resort, it does not matter. The main thing is that the result was a soft elastic dough, and not as steep as in the dumplings. We give a "break" test for about 15 minutes, covering the bowl with a cotton towel.

I use mixed minced meat (pork, beef) for the preparation of stuffing, add to it salt, pepper and a bit of a mixture of dried dill. If you have fresh herbs, and it is possible to add.

Onion cut into quarter \ semi-rings, although the shape of the cutting does not matter. With potatoes while doing nothing (only clean), I will then rub it on a grater, but a campaign of cake assembly ...

The finished dough rested on a table spread, pour flour and rolling it into the reservoir - the same thickness as dumplings. Then spread \ smear on it stuffing, top grate potatoes, then put the onion, a little bit more prisalivaem, pepper, and over the entire surface laid out small pieces of butter. Curl roll, all the edges gently pinch and wrap "snail" ...

Formed cake is passed on to a baking sheet, the laid parchment paper, grease the top with beaten egg yolk.
