Homemade halva from seeds

There is a very simple way to make real halva at home from the simplest sunflower seeds. Rustic recipe!

This recipe is repeated, since it has already been published on the channel, but now it is impossible to find it due to the lack of navigation in Yandex Zen. Therefore, all the ingredients and the process are only from memory, as I do halva myself.

It turns out, of course, tastier than the purchased sweets in the store.

Ingredients:

200 gr. shelled sunflower seeds (without shell / husk)
50 ml water
50 ml sunflower oil
150 gr. flour
50 gr. Sahara
1 bag of vanilla sugar

Preparation:

1. You will need shelled sunflower seeds. You can do it yourself or buy peeled ones. In some stores, they are already not only peeled, but also fried.

Wash raw peeled seeds (not fried) in a sieve, drain.

2. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan without oil. Put the seeds in a preheated pan and stirring with a wooden spatula, lightly fry the seeds. If they are already fried, then this is not necessary.

3. Pass the fried seeds through a meat grinder 2 times. You can, of course, use a blender.

But the coffee grinder is not worth it, as oil flows from the seeds and the device may deteriorate.

4. Again in a dry frying pan, fry the flour until a delicate yellow-golden color.

5. Mix flour with mashed seeds and again in a meat grinder. One time is enough this time.

6. In a saucepan, dissolve the sugar in warm water and boil the syrup. Don't make it caramel. It should be transparent and slightly stringy.

7. Pour the syrup into the seed mixture. Pour vegetable oil here and add vanilla sugar.

8. Halva needs to be kneaded properly. It will be quite thick and difficult to mix, but this must be done carefully.

9. Line the form with cling film and fill with ready-made halva.

Cover the form with foil or parchment and put oppression on top of the plate.

Put halva in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours. Done!
