The bright holiday of Easter is approaching and many of us will bake cakes ourselves. We suggest you try this method.
Ingredients for 3 Easter cakes medium size:
4 eggs
600 ml. milk
200 gr. butter
100 g fresh yeast or 30 gr. dry active
400 gr. Sahara
1.5 kg flour
1 hour l. salt
two handfuls of raisins
Preparation:
1. Dissolve the yeast in a glass of warm milk along with three tablespoons of sugar. And leave until they form a foam cap.
2. Pour the remaining warm milk and melted butter into the yeast.
There are also leftover sugar, eggs and salt. Stir until smooth.
3. Gradually add almost all the sifted flour, except for 1-1.5 cups. flour. Knead a homogeneous dough.
4. Grease a bowl with butter, sprinkle with flour and put a ball of dough in it, cover with a towel and put in a warm place to rise.
A well-fitting dough should at least double in volume.
5. Pour the remaining flour onto a clean, dry table, put the dough on it, add steamed and dried raisins.
Knead the dough so that it absorbs the flour almost to the end.
6. Divide the dough by the number of Easter cakes and arrange it in the molds so that it fills them slightly more than half.
Place the molds in a slightly preheated oven with the door open so that the dough comes up even more.
Leave for at least 15-20 minutes.
7. Grease the cakes with yolk or sweet water.
8. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and now you need to put the cakes to bake. Approximately 20-25 minutes. But you need to focus on your oven.
9. Once the cakes are ready, take out and garnish with icing, whipped egg whites, culinary sprinkles, coconut flakes or nuts.
Easter cakes are ready!
