Ingredients for 8 tortillas:

500 gr. flour
140 ml warm water
5 gr. dry yeast or 20 gr. fresh
5 gr. salt
75 gr. sugar (including a bag of vanilla)
75 gr. butter
100 g sour cream

Preparation:

1. Dissolve yeast in warm water, leave for 5 minutes to "wake up". Then add 1-2 tbsp. l. flour so that you get a fairly thick dough, similar to batter.

Cover the bowl or other utensils with dough with a towel or cling film and put in a warm place. There is no specific time for the dough to approach. You need to focus on how it will bubble, and do not miss the moment of settling - it is very important!

So it's time to go directly to the test.

2. Rub flour and butter into crumbs with your hands. Can be chopped with a knife. Then gently add sugar and sour cream. Leave the resulting semi-finished product on the table for 7-10 minutes.

3. Add the dough to the flour mass and knead the dough well. At least 10 minutes. The dough will turn out to be quite dense, pleasant to the hands and not sticking to the table. Just incredible and even a little luxurious dough!

4. Transfer the dough to a narrow, tall saucepan, slightly floured from the inside. Cover the dishes with a clean towel and remove to warm up.

It is very important that the dough comes up two or three times. Each increase in volume must be very gentle and extremely gentle on the dough. In principle, two times are enough.

5. Cut the dough into 8 identical balls. Leave on for 5-7 minutes. Then form cakes of 1-1.5 cm from the dough.

Transfer the cakes to a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Allow the blanks to distance 30-40 minutes.

6. Using a wooden stick or pencil, make shallow punctures on the surface of the cakes. Brush the top with whipped egg yolk.

7. Bake the cakes at 180 degrees for about 20-30 minutes until the finished products have a bright, beautiful crust.

The aroma will also tell you, since its rich vanilla smell will attract everyone at home to the kitchen.
