Special grilled sausages can now be bought in any meat department. And this is how you can make them even tastier.
Ingredients:
1-1.5 kg white cabbage
1 head of onion
2 tbsp. l. tomato paste
1 hour l. coriander or caraway seeds
2 bay leaves
vegetable oil
0.5 tsp l. ground black pepper
salt
How to cook:
1. Chop cabbage and onion into strips and lightly fry in vegetable oil. Then reduce heat and cover the pan with a lid.
Simmer until the cabbage is almost soft. Add some water if necessary.
2. Add tomato paste, salt, pepper, bay leaf and coriander (cumin) to the cabbage. Simmer for 3-5 minutes.
If you use 1/3 of sauerkraut, you get a different taste, more piquant and "German".
3. Fry the grill sausages separately in vegetable oil. Be sure to prick them with a fork in several places before frying.
You need to fry until tender and so that a beautiful crust appears.
4. Transfer hot fried sausages to a saucepan to the cabbage, pressing them into the cabbage with a spatula.
Darken the dish for another 5-7 minutes. Then remove from heat and leave under the lid for another 10-15 minutes, so that everything is combined in taste and aroma.
The finished dish can be served immediately.
