Many argue that the homeland of dumplings is China.
The Chinese use dumplings on holidays, believing that the dish unites and symbolizes happiness. Many families, while making dumplings, discuss news, share their impressions, laugh, rejoice, and have fun.
Making homemade dumplings is a painstaking process, but at the end everyone will be satisfied.
Minced meat, of course, is different for everyone: pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, etc. But the dough... you need to be able to do it correctly so that it is plump and tasty, does not boil over and does not fall apart during the sculpting process.
I offer you several options for dumplings dough at once. Choose yours!
Custard, universal
This is not a dough, but just a song! Delicate, elastic, pliable, pleasant to work with and delicious!
Whether dumplings or dumplings or pasties, it always turns out to be simply amazing. It is also suitable for manti, poses, pies and flaky cakes.
Ingredients:
1 egg
salt
3 cups flour
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup boiling water
Preparation:
Beat the egg. Add salt, half flour and vegetable oil. Pour in the rest of the flour. Knead and pour in boiling water. Fear not, there will be no glue. Knead with a spoon.
And then knead with your hands, if necessary, add a little flour. Cut and roll out the finished dough immediately.
On mineral water
This dough can be boiled, stewed and even baked. It is also suitable for pasties, but then do not add an egg to the dough.
Ingredients:
1 glass of mineral sparkling water
1 egg
0.5 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon sugar
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
flour (how much it will take)
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, except flour. Add flour gradually. Knead a soft elastic dough. It should be shiny and not stick to your hands or table.
We make dumplings or dumplings.
Classic
The classic dumpling dough should consist of flour, eggs and water (milk) - this composition was determined by the centuries-old experience of many peoples. Suitable for both dumplings and dumplings.
The ideal ratio of eggs to water - for each medium egg, take 2 cups of flour.
Ingredients:
2-3 cups flour (depends on the type of flour and its moisture content)
0.5 cups milk
1/3 cup water
egg
1 hour l. vegetable oil
1 hour l. salt without top
Preparation:
Pour 1 tbsp on the table. flour. In the center of the resulting slide, make a small depression, break an egg into it and add warm water mixed with milk and salt.
Mix thoroughly and start kneading the dough. Pour in 1 teaspoon of oil and knead again.
Cover the resulting dough with a towel and leave for 40 minutes to ripen.
In 40 minutes, our wonderful dough will be ready.
How to sculpt and cook
Cut the dough into pieces, then roll out each of them. You can use a dumpling maker. Or stick the dumplings with your warm hands.
On the rolled out layer of dough, mark and cut circles with a glass.
Put a little minced meat in each circle with a spoon. Then fold the dough in half, pinch the edges well and join the resulting corners into ears.
The dumplings can be frozen or cooked immediately.
Important! Dumplings should be dipped strictly in boiling and salty water. When they come up, cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Then, using a slotted spoon, take it out on a plate, add butter to the table.
