The classics of American home cooking are mashed potatoes or baked with chicken legs (Bush's legs), that is, with drumsticks in our case. Here we will take care of the chicken today.
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken drumsticks
1 packet (250-300 ml) tomato ketchup
1 hour l. hot red pepper or half a pod
1 tbsp. l. table mustard or 1 tsp. l. beans (French)
100 ml vegetable oil
1 tbsp. l. seasoning mixtures (paprika, thyme, rosemary, dry garlic)
1 hour l. salt
0.5 pcs. lemon
How to cook:
1. In a bowl, mix the ketchup with spices, mustard, hot pepper, half the vegetable oil and the zest of half a lemon.
2. Wash chicken drumsticks, dry on a towel.
3. Salt the chicken, mix and leave for 10 minutes. Then drizzle with the juice of half a lemon and leave for another 10 minutes.
Then use half of the remaining oil and sprinkle the chicken drumsticks with it. Stir, leave for 30 minutes.
4. Now the chicken needs to be covered with marinade. To do this, each drumstick must be brushed twice with ketchup marinade, allowing the first layer to dry slightly.
5. Place the drumsticks in a baking dish and immediately place in the hot oven. There is no need to grease the mold with oil or cover it with foil.
6. Bake "Bush legs" or chicken drumsticks in American-style sauce at 200 degrees for about 35-45 minutes.
7. Serve the cooked drumsticks hot, hot, straight from the oven onto the table. If there is a marinade left over, you can cover the shins with it before serving.
