Today I want to tell you about the recipe that Olga's followers shared with me.
Olga named the dish eggplant julienne, let it remain with that name.
In fact, when you try this julienne, you do not quite understand that the dish is made from eggplant, it tastes very much like mushroom julienne. Delicious and tender, be sure to try it!
How indifferent I am to eggplants and I can even say I do not like them - I ate this dish with pleasure.
I hope Olga will forgive me for small additions to the dish and cooking method.
✅Products that I needed for the dish:
- one eggplant (300 g),
- 1 onion (100 g),
- a tablespoon not full of cornstarch (10 g)
- milk 2.5% (150 g),
- cheese (I used regular semi-hard cheese 60 g, suluguni can be used to reduce calories),
- salt, black pepper, dry garlic.
✅Cooking.
Cut the eggplants into small cubes, add salt and leave for 10 minutes for the juice to come out. Then wash off with water
Chop the onion finely.
We send the onions to fry in a pan (I use non-stick pans). You can grease the pan with a drop of oil.
Fry the onion until golden and send the eggplants to it.
Cooking the eggplant until half cooked. Salt, pepper, add dry garlic.
When the eggplants are almost ready, sprinkle them with cornstarch.
Add milk and some cheese. Mix well.
And here I decided to complicate the process. Olga suggests simply stewing until tender. And it will already be very tasty, without much hassle.
But I decided to sprinkle with the remaining cheese and send it to the oven until a cheese crust forms.
I advise you to put them in portioned bowls, in which you can bake in the oven, sprinkle with cheese and serve in bowls, if you want a beautiful or portioned serving.
I liked it more hot, because there is cheese.
If you cook without cheese, then cold as a snack - 👍
