Welcome to visit me. Here I share my experience of losing weight, a menu for the day and recipes for dishes that are included in my diet.
As you already understood, counting calories and their deficit, as well as maintaining a balance of proteins, fats and carbohydrates helped me lose weight.

Very often you ask to show and tell about all those helpers that I have and which I use when preparing dishes.
And finally, I brought together all my main assistants to tell you about them.
But first I want to make a small digression.
After all, what do we need to lose weight? Eat more healthy and less high-calorie - to spend more energy than we consume with food.
And in order to reduce the calorie content of dishes, we use non-nutritive foods.
But even not the most high-calorie foods, we can turn them into calorie bombs if we fry them using a huge amount of oil. Someone manages to bake dishes and also add a lot of oil to it.
Our habit of pouring more oil everywhere turns any dietary and healthy food into calorie bombs.
✅The first thing I rearranged in my diet was to start cooking more dishes in the oven.
The oven is one of my main assistants. In my opinion, everything that is baked in the oven will be tasty, and at the same time healthier than fried.
And how much free time there is thanks to the oven!
✅ Having begun my journey to slimness, I gradually replaced regular pans with non-stick ones.
Mostly my pans are aluminum + Teflon (R) coated stainless steel.
I have been using them for 2 years and you can still cook with them without oil. Yes, some foods should still be sautéed with a drop of oil because they can stick. to any frying pan (for example, zucchini pancakes, they are very tender and without oil they stick to frying pan).
For the rest, I'm happy with my pans.
✅In order to use a minimum amount of oil when frying some products, as well as when dressing salads, I recently purchased oil sprayers and was very pleased with the purchase.
Oil consumption has decreased significantly. If earlier you had to measure with a teaspoon (about 5 g of oil in a teaspoon), so as not to overdo it with oil, now a few "zips" from the sprayer and nothing will burn and the oil is used less than 1 g.
✅ Also, as soon as I started my journey on counting calories, I gradually began to buy silicone bakeware. I always choose with thicker walls. The silicone mold should not be very thin, otherwise it will not hold its shape well.
The main convenience of silicone molds is that they do not need to be oiled. Baking does not stick to them and leaves well.
For two years I have collected a whole set of molds for all occasions. Moreover, silicone molds are cheaper than the same ceramic ones.
The main advantages: baked goods do not stick and can be easily removed from the mold, no oiling is required.
Minus - sometimes stains appear on the form that cannot be washed off.
But sometimes I also need a ceramic (or glass) form, for example, for various casseroles with meat. For these purposes, I have several shapes of different sizes:
✅ In addition to silicone baking dishes, I also use silicone mats. Mine are already 2 years old, of course, they look shabby, but what they are.
Any cookies can be baked on them without oiling, and they will not stick.
I like to use a rug with sides when baking meat - the meat itself is baked, and not boiled in juice, which restrain, for example, the walls of the mold, and the sides of the mat prevent the juice from spreading onto the baking sheet and burn.
The main advantages: no need to grease, does not stick or burn, clean baking sheet.
Minus, as with silicone molds, stains appear that cannot be washed off.
I have two rugs that I use in the oven (with and without sides) and a rug on which I knead and roll out the dough:
✅And my favorite is the electric grill. I've already sung him so many praises. But I'm ready to praise my worker again, I'll just list all the positive points:
- cook without oil,
- instant cooking:
- (chicken breast or chicken cutlets are fried in less than 4 minutes and remain juicy inside, the juice just flows out of them in a stream. Pork and beef steaks are cooked a little longer.
- It takes 3-4 minutes to cook fish steaks (depending on size).
- there are two important points: grill needs to be warmed up (usually it takes 3-4 minutes for me) and stop being afraid that the meat will not be friedotherwise you will always dry it out. It is better to remove and cover with foil - the high temperature that will be inside the meat will cook it. In any case, you can always fry the meat, and turn overdried meat into a delicious steak - alas.
When choosing an electric grill, I advise you to pay attention to the presence removable panels, which should be on both sides (there are one-sided grills). Also, do not try to buy a grill with many functions - you will not use most of them, but it will be more difficult to adapt to the grill.
These are my main kitchen helpers in losing weight.
There is, of course, a slow cooker, but for some reason I do not like to use it. Although, maybe it's worth starting? Actually also a great helper.
