Dumplings with potatoes and fried onions

Simple, hearty and very tasty. Nothing extra. With sour cream - even better!

Ingredients for the dough:

1 tbsp. cold boiled water
2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
egg
0.5 hours. l. salt
600 gr. flour

For filling:

0.5 kg of potatoes
2 onions
50 oz. butter

Preparation:

1. In a bowl sift the flour. Make a recess in the flour and break the eggs into it.
Add salt and vegetable oil.

2. Mix all the flour and add water. Start kneading the dough. The finished dough should not stick to hands.

Ready to shell out the dough into a bag and leave on the table for 30 minutes.

3. Prepare the filling. To do this, wash and peel the potatoes. Then coarsely chopped potatoes, add water.

4. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with a potato puree.

5. Onion cut into cubes and fried in butter until golden brown.

6. Mix the potatoes with fried onions and all the oil in which the roasted onions. Salt to taste.

7. Roll out the dough into a thin layer. Cut glass of circles.

8. Share to circles of 1 hour. l. potato filling.

9. Cover the potato halves of dough, pinch edge. Thus nalepit dumplings.

10. Boil 2-3 liters of water.

11. Vareniki lowered in boiling salted water in small batches.
12. When the dumplings float, cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Ready to put in a bowl of dumplings. Serve with sour cream.

mashed potatoes, you can add roasted mushrooms and grated cheese;
dumplings can be frozen and stored for several months;
potatoes do not necessarily crush, it can grate or mince.
