Now my milk never "runs away" when boiling and the stove always stays clean, because I know one secret. And I want to share it with you - I think this life hack with oil will be useful to many.
In general, the surest way is to simply monitor the milk and it is desirable to stir it constantly. But for this, all the time while the milk heats up, you need to stay close to the stove and keep your eyes on the pan. And if you are still cooking or doing something in parallel? Or are small children constantly distracting? That's when my method will come in handy.
For this we need the most common butter. As soon as we put the milk on the stove and the pan is not yet heated, take a piece of butter and grease the top edge of the pan with it well.
Lubricate about 2 cm from the edge. The resulting oil rims will restrain the rising milk and it will definitely not run away anywhere, you can be sure of this.
This method is perfect if you are cooking porridge, for example. Because milk will come into contact with butter one way or another. It will melt and drain into the pot. And if you boil milk, say, to make cocoa, then this is no longer an option. Who wants to drink a chocolate drink with floating butter?
There is another way for this case: put a wooden spatula or spoon on a saucepan. She will also hold back milk. But this method, unfortunately, does not always work and the milk can still run off a little.
Write in the comments if your milk runs away? What are you doing to avoid this?
