Now I cook charlotte only with mayonnaise! It turns out so tasty and airy - not a crumb will remain, I assure you. I used to make charlotte with just three ingredients: eggs, sugar and flour. Well, apples, of course. But I gave up on this recipe a long time ago, and my favorite is charlotte with mayonnaise.

Ingredients:

mayonnaise
flour
eggs
butter
sugar
salt
apples
soda
vanillin or cinnamon optional

We need 3 medium apples. For charlotte, I like to use sweet varieties, but you can use any apples you have. Cut the apples into small pieces or slices - whatever you want. If desired, you can sprinkle them with a little cinnamon and stir.

By the way, sometimes I use pears, apricots or berries together with apples, it turns out very tasty with cherries. Only this, probably, is not a charlotte then, but just a pie.

Let's start making the dough. In a bowl, mix 3 eggs and a glass of sugar. I sometimes put a little less sugar. Beat with a mixer or whisk until lather. Add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, a pinch of baking soda, half a teaspoon of salt and beat again until smooth.

Next, add 3 tablespoons of melted butter (you can use baking margarine instead) and add flour - about 1 cup. Flour must be sifted, then the cake will turn out to be more tender and airy.

Add vanillin or vanilla sugar to the dough if desired. Mix the dough and apples, stir gently and put in a mold greased with butter or vegetable oil.

Charlotte is cooked at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. We check the readiness of the cake with a wooden skewer. In the first 30 minutes, the oven must not be opened, otherwise the cake will settle and will not be so tasty.

Grease the finished cake with a small piece of butter on top, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Bon appetit, friends!
