I usually take two medium-sized zucchini and cut into slices about 1 cm thick. Next, I cook the breading.
I mix 3 tablespoons of flour with salt and spices. And here I want to focus on the choice of seasonings for this recipe. Condiments with basil, hot peppers, and garlic are best. You can use store bought seasoning marked "for meat".
I roll each piece of zucchini in flour and send it to the pan, fry in vegetable oil until tender.
While the zucchini is fried, I do not waste time and prepare the sauce for serving. To do this, I cut tomatoes (4-5 pieces), one large onion and 6-7 garlic cloves and send them to the pan.
You can add one small bell pepper.
Using an immersion blender, I grind the tomatoes into a homogeneous mass and put on fire. I add salt and the same seasoning that I added to the flour.
The sauce must be boiled down 3 times. During the time that the zucchini are fried and the sauce will be ready. When it's ready I add 2 more garlic cloves squeezed through a press.
Now that the zucchini and sauce are ready, you can start to "assemble" the dish.
In any convenient dish, I first put the zucchini, pour the sauce on top and then again the zucchini, etc.
If possible, it is better to let the zucchini stand for at least an hour so that they are saturated with all the aromas of the sauce.

Onion 1 pc
Garlic 8-10 cloves
Spices "for meat" 1 tablespoon
Flour 3 tablespoons
