The other day I made sweets from what was at home, spent literally 5 minutes and my husband and I immediately sat down to drink tea. I must say that the resulting candies can become a serious competitor to the well-known "Rafaello", they are not so fatty, moderately sweet and keep their shape well.
I used powdered milk as a base, I had coconut milk, but you can also use ordinary milk, there will not be any special difference in taste. I had two 60 gram bags.
I added condensed milk to powdered milk, I really like Rogachev's condensed milk. It most of all resembles that very condensed milk from childhood: thick, dense and with a taste of milk. And here proportion is important ...
For 120 grams of powdered milk, I added 5 tablespoons of condensed milk. It is necessary to add condensed milk gradually, starting from three, then stirring thoroughly, adding one spoon at a time. The mass should be very thick and stretchy, almost like a toffee. Then the candies will easily form and keep their shape.
Then, with the help of two teaspoons, I "pinched off" the mass from the total volume and transferred it to a plate with coconut flakes. With clean hands, she rolled a lump in shavings and formed into a ball. From the total amount of milk mass, I got 13 (or 14😋) sweets the size of a quail's egg. You can add a nut to the middle of the candy, then it will be quite similar to "Rafaello".
Ingredients:
120 grams of milk powder
5 tablespoons of condensed milk
30 grams of coconut flakes
