Hello, my name is Oksana! I am glad to welcome everyone who has looked at my page. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my recipes! I would be grateful for your comments and subscriptions!
Herring snacks are very popular both in the daily menu and for the festive table. Many housewives have their own "special" recipe for herring appetizers.
Today I also want to bring to your attention a rather interesting option of an appetizer, prepared from ordinary salted herring and sour cream ... Yes Yes! Someone may think that the combination is unusual and strange, but in fact, the herring in sour cream is simply delicious! Doubt? Then try it yourself and see for yourself!
Cooking ingredients:
Lightly salted herring - 1 pc.
Onions - 1 pc.
Table vinegar (6%) - 1-2 tsp l.
Sour cream - 150 g
Sugar - 1 tsp l.
Mustard beans - 1 tsp l.
Lemon juice - 2 tbsp l.
Dill greens - a small bunch
Ground black pepper to taste
Let's start cooking ...
We cut one slightly salted herring into fillets - remove the insides, head, all fins, then remove the skin from the fish and take out all the bones. We wash the fillet and cut into small portions.
Peel the onion, cut into half rings. We put it in a bowl, rub it lightly with our hands so that it starts up the juice, then pour in the vinegar and set it aside for now.
Put sour cream, mustard in another bowl, add lemon juice, sugar, finely chopped dill and a little black pepper. Mix thoroughly - herring sauce is ready!
Now we take a not too large jar, put 3-4 pieces of herring on the bottom, put a little onion on top, put a few tablespoons of sour cream sauce. And fill the jar with the same layers. We close the jar with a lid and put it in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours. But this appetizer will be much tastier if you let it brew for a day. Serve with boiled potatoes or just with a slice of black bread. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
