Today I want to bring to your attention recipe for delicious pan-fried cakes with apple filling. In principle, they resemble ordinary pies, but in this version there is much more filling and less dough.

Such cakes are more popular in my family than cakes. Try and make such cakes according to this recipe, perhaps it will become your favorite!

Ingredients for making tortillas:

Milk - 250 ml
Dry yeast - 1 tsp l.
Egg - 1 pc.
Sugar - 2 tbsp. l
Salt - 1 tsp l
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l. in dough + for frying
Flour - 500 g
For filling:
Apples - 5-6 pcs. (large)
Sugar - 2-3 tbsp. l.
Cinnamon - 0.5 tsp l.
Starch - 0.5 tsp l.

Now we start cooking ...

First, we dilute the yeast in a small amount of milk (2-3 tbsp. l), we take from the total volume. We leave 10 minutes for activation. Next, sift the flour into a bowl, make a depression in the middle and pour in the foamed yeast, add salt and sugar.

Next, pour in the remaining milk (warm), vegetable oil and break the egg.

Knead a soft, smooth dough, roll it into a bun, and remove the bowl of dough in a warm place on the rise, for about one hour.

While the dough is rising, we prepare the filling ... Peel the apples, remove the center with the seeds and rub on a coarse grater. Transfer to a dry frying pan, add sugar to taste and cinnamon.

Simmer the apples over low heat for 20-25 minutes, until soft and fully cooked. If the apple filling is too runny, add a little starch. We extinguish and remove from heat for just a couple of minutes. Transfer from the pan to a bowl to cool the filling.

In an hour, the dough rose very well! We knead it around the edges and proceed to the formation of cakes.

Divide the dough into 6-7 parts, then every half (12-14 koloboks in total). Now we take one kolobok one by one and roll it into a cake. Put the filling in the middle, spreading it evenly and not reaching the edges a little.

Next, we roll out the second bun, cover the stuffed cake and make tight tucks along the edges. We form the rest of the cakes in the same way. Cover with a tea towel and let sit for 15 minutes.

Next, pour a little vegetable oil into the pan, heat it up, put the cake, cover with a lid and fry for 3-4 minutes. Fry the other side in the same way. The finished cakes are very tasty, ruddy, baked well and keep their shape. Cook, taste, Bon appetit!
