Today I hasten to share with you a very unusual way of serving Mimosa salad - the original appetizer turns out. Bright carrot baskets filled with hearty fish filling, certainly will not be ignored on the festive table.

The combination of products seems to be familiar, but the presentation will definitely surprise all guests! Try it: you won't regret it! You can decorate the portioned salad at your discretion.

πŸ“•Ingredients for making baskets:

Boiled carrots - 400 g
Boiled potatoes - 1-2 pcs.
Hard-boiled egg - 2 pcs.
Greens (dill, green onions) - small bunch
Canned fish - 100-120 g
Hard cheese - 30 g
Salt, pepper - to taste
Mayonnaise (sour cream) - 2 tbsp. l.
Gelatin - 1 tsp l.
Water - 40 ml
Canned corn, greens - for decoration.

First of all, cook carrots, potatoes and chicken eggs, then completely cool and peel. And then we begin to grind everything up. Three eggs on a fine grater and pour into a deep bowl.

In the same way, we grind hard cheese, send it to a common dish.

Cut the potatoes into small cubes, add to the already chopped products. We also finely chop the herbs and pour into the filling.

Drain the liquid from the fish, knead it with a fork. If large bones come across, be sure to remove. Salt, pepper, add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. If desired, replace the mayonnaise with sour cream.

Mix everything thoroughly. The filling for the baskets is ready.

Three boiled carrots on a coarse or fine grater - whoever you like in a separate bowl. Add a little salt and a spoonful of mayonnaise (sour cream).

Pour gelatin with water and heat in the microwave or in a water bath until the grains disperse in the liquid.

Pour the gelatin mixture into the grated carrots, mix.

Now we take a silicone mold for muffins and distribute the carrot mass into the cells, forming the walls of the baskets.

Fill the carrot baskets tightly with the filling and put them in the refrigerator to solidify for at least 4 hours, and preferably overnight.

We remove the cooled baskets from the cells of the form. Lubricate with a little mayonnaise on top.
