Eastern cuisine is wonderful. Nourishing and healthy, simple and varied, everyone likes it. You can often hear that someone does not like the cuisine of a certain country, but almost everyone loves oriental food. Its main features are lamb, rice, bulgur, couscous, lentils and chickpeas as the basis of everyday food, an abundance of spices and herbs, sweets from nuts and dried fruits, incomparable pastries, as well as fermented milk products that help to digest meat food.
Spices are used not only for flavor and aroma, but also to keep food from spoiling for as long as possible in hot climates. For the same reason, sweets are prepared from products that can be stored for a long time (dried fruits, semolina, honey, nuts, etc.).
The soups are thick, rich and very satisfying. Bread in the East is lavash and flat cakes, not loaves and loaves, like ours. Thin lavash is often used as an edible napkin.
