Yeast Free Festive Flavored Cupcake
- Wash all dried fruits, but do not soak.
- Place in a wide or deep skillet and add brown sugar.
- If brown is not available, you can add regular sugar.
- This also includes honey, butter, zest and juice of two oranges.
- I add 100 ml of dark rum. If you do not want to use alcohol, replace it with the same juice (by quantity).
- A teaspoon of spices to your taste.
- Turn on a little heat and place the fruit on the stove.
- When the butter has dissolved add cocoa and mix well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- The wider the pan, the faster the excess liquid can be evaporated.
- Turn off the heating and leave the dried fruits for 1 hour, so that they are well infused, soaked and cool.
Preheat the oven to 150 C degrees and prepare the mold.
- Add a pinch of salt, ground almonds or almond flour, baking soda and baking powder to the flour.
- Add loose eggs and flour with nuts to the cooled dried fruits.
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Put the dough in a mold or small tins and send to the oven.
Check the readiness of the cake on a dry skewer.
- It remains to decorate it and here everything depends on your taste.
