Recipe Capelin in tomato sauce "in Odessa"
Ingredients:
Capelin, 700 gr
Onions - 2 pcs
Carrots are not big - 2 pcs
Sugar 1 tbsp
Flour - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Bay leaf 1 piece
Peppercorns 5 pieces
Tomato juice -
300 ml
Vegetable oil for frying
Cooking method:
1. Finely chop the onion.
On a coarse grater rub the carrot.
2. Capelin thawed and cleaned from head and viscera.
3. Tomato juice combine with the flour and whisk stir (for
the density of the sauce).
4. In a frying pan with vegetable oil fry the onion until
golden brown, add the carrots and fry well.
To add the vegetables and the fish and sprinkle with salt, sugar, bay leaf, peppercorns and all pour tomato juice with the flour.
Gently stir to fish covered with sauce.
If you do not like a thick sauce, and more liquid, you can add water.
Simmer over a low heat, without cover 30 min.
5. All! Our capelin ready!
