  • herring fillets - 350 grams
  • Boiled carrots - 3 pieces

  • salt, pepper, mayonnaise

Herring cut into small cubes, remove the bones and spread a layer on the bottom of a large plate. Finely chop the onions and spread on top. Lubricates mayonnaise. Three on a coarse grater potatoes, spread layer lubricates mayonnaise. Next layer carrots and mayonnaise. Then the eggs and mayonnaise, and from the top - grated beets. Mimosa salad"

  • boiled potatoes - 400 grams
  • Boiled carrots - 300 grams
  • boiled eggs - 4 pieces
  • onion
  • grated cheese - 150 grams
  • mayonnaise, salt, pepper

So. We reveal the jar, poured the excess fluid (not all, because the need for juiciness) and spread on a wide plate layer. Mash with a fork.
Lubricates mayonnaise. Separate the whites from the yolks, rub them on a grater, spread over the fish and oil the mayonnaise.
Then a layer of grated carrots and mayonnaise. Then a layer of onions and potatoes, again rubbed. And with mayonnaise.
Then cheese and again, mayonnaise and sprinkle with grated on top of all the yolks. Mayonnaise is not necessary to pour a lot, otherwise it will be too bold. The order of the layers may vary. But always from the bottom fish, and on top - cheese and egg yolks. By the way, most of the salad prepared without cheese. Well, for an amateur in general.

Salad "Vinaigrette"

The original recipe salad can be detected even in cookbooks of the nineteenth century. Only there was beef, pickled apples, plums, olives and mushrooms. In short, products that Soviet man to get it would be difficult to say the least. Become simplified, with the result that there was one of the most popular classic Soviet salads.
Preparing it this way:

  • boiled potatoes - 600 grams
  • boiled beet - 400 grams
  • Boiled carrots - 400 grams
  • sauerkraut - 400g
  • pickles - 200 grams
  • sunflower oil, salt, pepper

All this is cut into large (a must!) Into cubes, mix in a large pan, seasoned with oil, salt and pepper. Sour cabbage with cucumbers are perfectly combined with sweet beets. Well, it turns out nutritionally, of course.
The salad can be added: onions or green onions, parsley, peas or beans.

Salad "Olivier"

This salad is far from the classic creations of the restaurant chef Lucien Olivier. And no wonder, because originally a part of the recipe were hazel, cucumber, olives, truffles, crayfish and all there gherkins. And where is all this get? That had to be replaced by cheaper counterparts.
Instead, grouse and crayfish - boiled sausage, instead of fresh cucumbers - salty, and so on. Even potatoes were added for greater satiety. And, you know, pretty well the same happened.
The combination of taste and nutritional value make a salad "Olivier" the most important representative
Soviet salads and a desirable attribute of each holiday.
Preparing, if suddenly someone does not remember it like this:

  • boiled potatoes - 4 pieces (500-600 grams)
  • boiled eggs - 4 pieces
  • Boiled carrots - one piece (average)
  • onions - one piece
  • boiled sausage - 250-300 grams
  • pickles - 4 pieces (small)
  • Bank of canned green peas
  • salt, pepper, mayonnaise

All the ingredients are cut into cubes and mix. Fill salt, pepper and mayonnaise. By the way, is another departure from the classical recipe: original salad was a puff. But in the process of simplification and it changed.

Salad with melted cheese and garlic


It is probably the most simple, but highly nutritious classic Soviet salad. Even his own name was not there. And the popularity he gained not at once, but only with the spread of the legendary cheeses "Druzhba".
