First comes wash dried fruits under running water and be sure to pour over boiling water. By doing this, we get rid of the preservatives that manufacturers add to dried fruits, and the oils with which they are coated before sale, and on which dust and debris sticks. Also, dried fruits are treated with sulfur dioxide, this substance is not washed off, but it is also harmful only in large quantities, nevertheless it is better to choose dull dried fruits - the darker the better. After boiling water, I soak them in saline solution for 20 minutes (2 tablespoons of salt in 2 liters of water), then rinse under running water.

By the way, if you bought dried fruits in packaging, and not by weight, you should also wash them thoroughly. Scroll the photo to the right.

Nuts follow first rinse under the tap, then soak in warm water for 1 hour (the state of the water after soaking is shown in the photo, scroll to the right). Then once again rinse the nuts under running water and put on a baking sheet in the oven to dry at a temperature of 60 degrees, more is possible, but then you need to carefully look so that they do not burn.
