Today I will tell you something interesting recipe for cooking meat balls in an onion coat and bacon. I decided to try this culinary novelty a few days ago, and it turned out to be a very tasty second dish. When cooking, the traditional taste of onions disappears, and instead of it, the minced meat appears pleasant aroma of haze, as if the balls were cooking on an open fire. Having tasted a novelty, homemade they said modestly: "you can repeat it." And my husband called this dish "Meat Cipollino".
1. We prepare minced meat (500-600 grams). I had pork and chicken. Add one onion, grated on a coarse grater, salt, pepper, add dill, parsley, green onions. To make the minced meat softer and juicier, I add, grated, half a small potato. Knead thoroughly. Scroll the photo to the right.
2. Trim the edges at both ends and peel off carefully top layer of onions. We fill the onion balls with minced meat and wrap them with thin strips of bacon, which we fix with toothpicks.

We put the meat balls in the preheated oven up to 220 degrees and bake for 50 minutes. During this time, water the balls with the resulting juice twice.
