Today I will tell why do we need slots in the neck of a bottle with vegetable oil and two more practical life hacks with this product. I'm sure that every person reading this article saw the slits when opening a bottle of vegetable oil, but few people even thought what are they really for. Everything turns out to be very simple!
1. They are needed in order so that the dispenser inserted into the neck is held firmly (I showed everything in the photo, scroll to the right). The widespread belief that these slots are needed to allow air to escape when pouring are incorrect. Personally, I don't use a dispenser, but I'm used to pouring oil into a special jug with the same thin spout right away. But such a dispenser is also convenient.
2. To add oil to some dishes, such as salads, it will be convenient to use a spray bottle. I adapted a small antiseptic bottle for this purpose. Of course, first, the container should be thoroughly rinsed. You can also buy a special kitchen spray, it is not expensive, but also the homemade version does its job well.
3. The last trick will help grate even the softest cheese without any problems. To do this, lightly blot a paper towel with oil and moisten a grater, oil will literally need a drop, but the cheese will rub perfectly and will not stick. I always use this technique, if I don't cut cheese directly from the refrigerator, as shown in the photo, scroll to the right. If you liked these tips, don't forget to like them!
