In today's article I will tell you how to open the windows correctly in order to effectively ventilate the rooms in the apartment. Not so long ago, I began to notice that despite the fact that I constantly open the windows, the air in the apartment remains heavy, as if carbon dioxide is not escaping well. I studied the method of airing the premises and now I breathe better at home. I want to share three subtleties of this matter with you.

1. The most efficient ventilation is open all windows in the apartment wide open. Only such ventilation will really significantly refresh the air and saturate it with oxygen, displacing carbon dioxide. This procedure should be carried out after waking up and before going to bed, and if you spend the whole day at home, then one more time during the day. The only drawback of swing ventilation is that cold air goes to the floor, and drafts are formed. So you have to be careful not to catch cold.

2. If we are in a room during the day, and especially if we are engaged in physical or intellectual work, then it is additionally worth once an hour, at least for 5 minutes, open the window in tilt mode. With this opening, cold air rushes to the ceiling and mixes with warm air, creating an even circulation. In winter, you can limit yourself two minutes of airing.

3. Do not forget that the vast majority of plastic windows have micro-ventilation mode (handle at 45 degrees). In summer you can use this mode on an ongoing basis, even at night. It allows you to gently but efficiently ventilate the room, while not creating drafts. In winter, you should limit yourself two hours of micro-ventilation a day. Using all three ventilation modes, it is possible to maintain fresh air in the apartment throughout the day, which is very important for health, energy levels and mood.
