In today's article I will talk about three life hacks when choosing delicious and fresh plums. The end of August and the beginning of September is the time to buy this juicy and sweet fruit. But you need to know some tricks so as not to run into hard, sour or overripe fruits. For myself, I have highlighted three rules that allow me to buy exceptionally high quality fruits.
1. First of all, it is necessary to visually assess the quality of the drains - they must not have cracks, various stains, dents or other damage. Pay special attention to the peel - it should be colored in uniform, usually dark blue color, if the fruit is of different colors, it means a plum or unripe or overripe. Also, the peel should not have a shiny or oily appearance, as this indicates the addition of chemicals to the fruit. And here slight white coatingon the contrary, it indicates that a small amount of time has passed since the plum harvest.
2. The next step, after visual assessment, is
check by touch. Take, in turn, several plums - in the vast majority of varieties, fresh fruits should not be too hard or too soft, they must be resilient. By the way, if you notice a green stalk, immediately abandon the purchase, since the plum is not ripe.3. The final step in determining the quality of the drain is odor assessment. Feel free to sniff at least one fruit. The fruit should havesweet aroma, but if the smell is too tart, then the plum has begun to rot and you shouldn't buy it. Also, it is better to refuse to buy fruits in individual packaging, because it interferes with all the above checks. If you did not know at least one described method of checking the drains - like it!
