Hello dear readers of my channel. Today I want to touch on the theme of then and now makeup. Before starting to read the make-up analysis, I want you to understand that I personally have nothing against the "Soviet" make-up, and every woman has the right to choose how to paint herself.
The article is written more for those women who are trying to keep up with fashion. That is, after reading the article, these women can take something to themselves, revise their makeup. Those women who are satisfied with their makeup and do not want to change anything in it, this publication will be useless. Therefore, I do not recommend wasting time reading it.
Unsuitable shades of cosmetics
By this point I mean the use of cold-colored cosmetics by women of a warm color type and the use of warm-colored cosmetics by women of a cold color type.
Yes, in Soviet times there were not so many shades of the same shadows, now you can find shadows (and other cosmetics) not only of any color, but also of texture.
I also want to note that the blue and green shades that were popular at that time did not always look advantageous on a mature woman.
Eyebrows
The shape and width of the eyebrows is an individual matter, I personally know women who have thin curved eyebrows, and when they design a different shape, their faces do not change for the better.
But the color is very important. You should not paint over eyebrows with too dark pencil / shadows / pomade, but you also do not need to leave their natural shade with active makeup.
Note: but in general, looking at the fashion for eyebrows "then and now" I prefer the option "then". I believe that soft, narrow eyebrows make the face more feminine.
If you take a closer look at the photo below, you will see that eyebrows in Soviet-era makeup are not in the first place:
Abundant coloring of upper and lower lashes
If the upper eyelashes are dyed abundantly, do not dye the lower eyelashes as abundantly. For a beautiful make-up, just lightly touch the lower eyelashes with mascara, you don't need to focus on them.
At an older age, it is generally not worth drawing attention to the lower eyelids, because the skin under the eyes is no longer so elastic, and other age-related changes do not bypass this area (blue, "bags", wrinkles and other).
