Hello dear readers of my channel. Today I want to talk about 3 mistakes in applying mascara, which visually spoil the look of the eyes (in some cases even make them look old), and the makeup looks untidy in general.
Of course, these mistakes should not be made at a younger age, just at an older age they are more striking. I think the reason is that with age, the eyelashes thin out a little, become shorter and lose pigment.
Important: not all this happens. Therefore, if your eyelashes at 50-60 years old remained the same as they were in youth, this does not mean that they remained the same with everyone else.
Mistake 1: pulling your eyelashes up
This is the most common mistake. In all makeup lessons for older women, they always say: "to open your eyes, you need to raise your eyelashes as much as possible." However, I have not heard anywhere that they say that the eyelashes need to be lifted starting not from the eyelash growth line itself, but stepping back a few millimeters. If the eyelashes are short, then for a beautiful curl in this case it is better to use a curler.
If the eyelashes are long and obedient (thin, which easily hold a given bend), then in this case it is enough just to paint over the eyelashes with one layer mascara, then set the mascara brush in the mid-length of the eyelashes, close your eyes, and hold the brush so that it slightly lifts the eyelashes up. About 30-40 seconds is enough for the eyelashes to acquire a beautiful curve. The location of the brush is shown with red lines in the photo above.
Mistake 2: pressing the brush hard against the lash line
When the brush is firmly pressed against the lash line, mascara is imprinted on the eyelids. Yes, a cosmetic product can be easily removed from the eyelids in just a couple of seconds, but I very often see that women are either lazy to do it, or they simply do not notice this "cosmetic blunder" and go with such makeup. This makeup looks dirty.
Advice: To prevent mascara from staining, use the product with a neat brush and try not to touch the lash line. However, remember that such a retreat requires a thorough painting over the "lashes".
Mistake 3: coloring only the tips of the eyelashes
If the eyelashes are dark, then one layer of mascara on the ends looks good, but if the eyelashes have lost their pigment, and when painting the ends the color of the eyelashes becomes different (closer to the roots - lighter, and the tips - dark), then the makeup in this case looks, to put it mildly, strange.
Advice: do not be lazy to paint over the entire length of the eyelashes, in this case the eyes will look more expressive.
