It's amazing how many food-related cockroaches our fellow citizens have. I have said for a long time, and now I will repeat again - food has now become one of the ways to demonstrate your well-being (financial) or give yourself "status." Incidentally, not always reasonable, but ...
Tell me, how do you feel about "brakes", that is, lunch or dinner, and maybe breakfast, collected with you to work?
If my memory serves me, lunch is taken to work (or to school) in one form or another in any country in the world and this is not something "shameful". In Japan (in our country it is considered to be one of the most advanced and prosperous countries), there is bento, in the west - lunch boxes with you.
And here - he was in shock when he found out - it turns out that there is something brought with him from home, it's a shame!
Yes, it’s a shame!
I recently read about it on Facebook - the young lady literally sobbed in letters, telling how uncomfortable feels like in the company of fellow rogues who carry food with them when there are a lot of establishments nearby with business lunches. Well, or you can order pizza and rolls directly to the office.
- I am ashamed of them! She screamed. - When will our people learn to live beautifully, humanly!
- If I start going to a business lunch so that everything around you is beautiful, - one of the commentators objected to her - then I'll bend, I'm sorry, because my diet is not for losing weight, but for health - nothing spicy, salty, fried, fat ...
- Considering the prices for business lunches and ready meals with delivery to the office - thought another - how much of the salary will remain for the rest of the attributes of a “beautiful life?
- And I am also enraged by this soviet habit among colleagues! - the third shouted in caps and added that the country would never come to success as long as such backward citizens were carrying containers with homemade buckwheat and cutlets.
In general, Hell, Israel and the battle of the meat grinders happened in the comments, and I thought ...
To be honest, I am sometimes enraged by the smell of grub (it’s grub, not food) in public places.
Once after dinner I happened to visit the office of a certain official and it was thoroughly saturated with the sour spirit of borscht with sour cream. In this spirit, I dreamed of something very stale (apparently, sauerkraut "with a smell" was used in the preparation, and sour cream was... sourish. From this visit, unpleasant memories remained.
But against food that does not smell actively, does not cause inconvenience to others, I have nothing against it. And I don't think it's shameful to eat what they brought from home.
And you?
