"Legendary" and low-quality foods of the 90s that we ate (and, strangely enough, they were happy)

Admin

I remembered the nineties. How strange the actions of the "then" people now seem: joyfully, as if the natives of the newly discovered lands, they pounced on everything bright and shiny that the colonialists proposed.

Now they say: it was just there was famine in the country and empty shelves. By the way, I seem to agree that the deficit was created artificially, because too quickly the shelves filled up again ...

Really, what?

For the sake of interest, let us recall the products that appeared and which adults managed to enjoy, because it was an "import" (even very disgusting?). I write "disgusting" because quality products were not brought to us in those days.

Instant juices "Yupi", "Invite", "Zuko" and any other different

This amazing chymosis stained the dishes, the table, all the surroundings that it managed to get into. A solution of this powder could be used as super-resistant paints (by the way, I saw this, schoolgirls dyed bleached hair "Invite", the shades were obtained as from those means that are now called "pigments of direct action", a kind of pastel pink, pastel orange ...

Before the appearance of these packages, there was juice in stores. Even in “hungry” and “scarce” times, three-liter jars remained on the shelves, somewhere with birch, somewhere with grape, somewhere with apple juice, or pear with pulp, or peach (with pulp). Remember those?

But for some reason people bought bags. How - a piece of "imported" life! Civilization... (sarcastically).

"Knorr" is tasty and fast, and at the same time - cubes "Galina Blanca", the joy of the whole family and instant chemical soups.

Few things make me so angry now as the old ad for these bouillon cubes. A rare filth that can, in fact, spoil the taste of any dish.

- And the foreigners came up with how convenient! - they said.

Yes, yes, they did. The fact that the liquid from these cubes did not look like broth and had a strange green hue was somehow overlooked. And the fact that in the USSR they used to make dehydrated products, moreover, from natural ingredients. True, dry soups in the USSR were once packed in not so beautiful bags, and their taste was not so bright (there was less chemistry), but in quality they were superior to "imports" ...

Instant cocoa

Another “product” that was not even called a “product”.

- And our cocoa must be cooked, phew! - they said.

And instead of the "plebeian" pack of the "Golden Label", which in the mid-nineties was no longer in short supply or, even worse, weighed cocoa of domestic production, bought a can of Mix Fix, or Nesquik, which cost several times more, but was imported.

After all, it’s convenient - it’s dissolved and that’s all, and there are vitamins in that cocoa, but ours doesn’t!

Ha! A huge amount of sugar and it is not clear - either cocoa, or not ...

I don’t know about you, but it still surprises me. Plus, no instant cocoa tastes like freshly brewed cocoa!

Also, the love for imported "confectionery" surprised me. Yes, now our chocolate has gone bad. Even the legendary "Babaevsky" and "Alenka" are not the same... But then chocolates were still made according to the "old" recipes, and domestic chocolates were superior to imported bars both in taste and quality, but the magic word "import" created incredible ...

And the fact that in those years our producers were dying out, this is also our wine - they themselves chose bright imported filth.

Shl. What do you remember? Well, the legs of mutant chickens for granted ...
